Emerson R. Tully
Emerson is of the Tlogi (Zia Clan People), born for the Dzil tlani (Corner Clan People) and comes originally from Whitehorse Lake, New Mexico. His mother is Grace Tully and his late father is Charlie Tully Sr. He has three sisters and one brother. Emerson now resides in Crownpoint, New Mexico with his wife, Vangie.
Throughout Emerson’s younger years, he has attented many Native American Church services with his late father. His late father was a road man and a traditional medicine man and he began to attend Pow-Wow’s with his brother, A.J.Yazzie. These two beliefs are his strength. When his father deceased on Thanksgiving night, he was going through a lot of depression and was very weak to face his challenges in life. This was the time he started to compose his own songs. For many years, he has been practicing. Today, he treasures the songs and he wants to share them with all his people.
