Janelle Turtle New Beginning

My name is Janelle Turtle. I am southern Cheyenne and Navajo, big Water clan and born for southern Cheyenne. The old lady, Dog Woman, my great, great, great grandmother was the first woman to run meetings among the Cheyenne people. both dog woman and her companion, Old Man John Turtle, were medicine people. They both were given a peyote bundle from Quanah Parker and the bundle remains in the family to this day. In honor of my ancestors I share these songs with you.
